Cleaning
It is important to take care of your jewellery; each piece will need to be treated individually depending on the materials used. This will help maintain the jewellerys great appearance.
Most materials we use can be delicately wiped clean with a soft damp cloth. Gold and silver plated components, if very dirty, can also be wiped clean with a soft damp cloth; then buffered dry with a polishing cloth. If residue builds up on stones or particles become lodged in settings a tooth brush will help removal by delicately dislodging any deposits. Exposure to substances such as soap, washing-up liquid, perfume, hairspray and cosmetics may damage jewellery. Your jewellery may also be affected by chlorine so avoid wearing jewellery while swimming. Remove jewellery when washing and bathing and when participating in activities such as sports, gardening, housework and anything that may cause general wear and tear.
Storage
Your jewellery is best stored individually in Reynaldo e Contu jewellery pouches preferably wrapped in a soft cloth or paper handkerchief to protect against tangling, chipping or scratching. Keep pouches away from heat or moisture which may cause damage to the contents inside. Never place several pieces of jewellery together without something between them. This is particularly important if you are travelling as the motion from your journey may cause damaging friction between pieces chipping beads and rubbing away metal plating.
